FlyFeeds conceptual idea was born out of the need to find more affordable direct flights/traveling solutions and in doing so, lowering costs & travel time.
FlyFeeds main target is to help customers in finding affordable flights that are available “in between the lines,” thus offering better traveling solutions. The app uses live and up to date data from top airlines and travel site partners in order to provide users with the most current deals and traveling solutions.
FlyFeeds will search and detect direct and connecting flights but also point out better prices for flights that have a connection at your destination. The way FlyFeeds does its magic:
1. When users choose a destination, most of the time they will get the option to filter by direct flights or flights with single / multiple connections towards their destination. This would decrease their flight price but increase their travel time as a trade off, however there's a different way to save time and costs, and that is where FlyFeeds come in.
2. FlyFeeds will find a flight from the user's departure location to a different location that connects in the user's wanted destination first, thus offering the user's a direct flight. At times these options are cheaper than a specific direct flight from the departure location to the desired destination.
Most traveling applications are designed for a single company and provide data directly from airlines but also offer their own bundle deals. The current major players in the traveling industry are companies such as Expedia, Google Flights, TripAvisor, Travelocity, KAYAK and more.
Most of the time users will have to input their departing location and the desired destination.
By these parameters they will get different options which most of the time will be either direct flights (if available) resulting in higher cost and lower traveling time, or the user may select one or more connecting flights resulting in lower cost but higher traveling time.
In order to try and navigate between the two, users have to spend time looking into multiple options and compare by going back and forth within the app. This type of effort creates confusion and
leads to frustration.
Creating a UI where the overall look and feel is familiar, recognizable and relates to the industry but is clean and up to date.Designing a UI that can explain how the process works differently from other traveling apps.
Keeping common industry UI elements by also integrating new app specific elements without confusion by showing the flight routes and where the user destination is.
